Doing both ski weeks:

We have many of our skier friends that want to save a lot of money and stay for both ski weeks. If you have the resources and the time, this is a great idea. You have to pay to fly over to Europe and back, so the longer you stay there, the more value you are getting out of your ticket. And you save money on the second ski week. You take $300 off the second ski week since there is no air component needed, and you also save a bundle by not having to pay the air taxes for that second week. Contact us for the details about this.

Using your own air

You can do this if you have miles to burn, but be aware of the many traps the airlines have these days. You may have a hard time getting the air you need on the days your need with miles and you may have to pay for the air taxes and fuel charges anyway, on top of your miles. The savings off the ski week price for doing your own air is $275.

What airlines are we using?

The air picture, as everyone knows, has gotten a lot more complicated and messy over the past years. This year, we are trying to be the most flexible we have ever been concerning our air. Each traveler’s situation is different. So many factors effect the choice of carriers, so we are going to try to find the best air for EACH individual traveler. What is your U.S. gateway city? Are you wanting to take skis? Do you have an account with a certain carrier that will save you money on baggage fees?

Our main carrier will be Delta, but we can use any other carrier that meshes with our needs. It is a lot more work for us to give such individual attention to each of our traveler’s air needs, but we are glad to do it if it saves our friends money. This is yet another reason to contact us NOW so we can get the best air options for you.

The air prices are not locked in, so the sooner you make a reservation, the better chance you will have to get the best fares.

Important air pricing notes: The air taxes and fuel charges and any baggage fees charged by the airlines are NOT included in the tour prices. The biggest tax is the international fuel surcharges, which run @$480 per round trip, plus any other applicable air taxes. Of course, these taxes and surcharges are problematic and no one likes them, but they are a part of international flying nowadays and are unavoidable.

Segments minimum size note

All segments costs are based on a minimum number of participants. If participants falls below this threshold, there will be a slight increase in the tour cost.

Currency exchange rate note:

As with any foreign travel, our European segments are subject to exchange rate differences between the value of the dollar and the euro. If the rate of exchange has changed at the time of final payment in January, it can result in an increase or decrease in the final amount due for the segments. In 18 years of doing European tours, their have been times when an increase was necessary, but they have been small, ranging from 1% to 3%. It has never been a big issue and we do not anticipate this being a problem in future.
