Canada is still a great value due to the strength of our dollar against the Canadian currency.  Everything you buy on your trip is one-third off the price tag.  It is no accident we keep going back to Canada year after year.

Overlooking the Columbia River, the setting and the skiing are both spectacular in Revelstoke, B.C., home to the LARGEST vertical in North America.

Revelstoke is THE powder stash in B.C. They can get epic dumps of pow there. The first year it was opened, Skiman helied there in 6 feet of new snow in 2 days! That is not that unusual for the Stoke as can be seen here.

Revelstoke is the tallest ski hill on the continent, with almost 6,000 vertical feet of great intermediate and advanced skiing. It is in a snow dumping belt in B.C. and usually gets a ton of snow. The first time Skiman went there was the first year it was open, and it received over 6 feet of snow in 6 days. It was one of the best powder weeks in 50 years of skiing. The Stoke rises above one of the coolest towns in Canada. Skiman has been there three times and can’t wait to get back.  Revelstoke is one of the best resorts in North America, hands down with the biggest vertical in North America. The town and the hill are superb.

Advantages to joining our group vs. going solo

~Save money

~If single, save on single occupancy cost if we can get you a room mate (not guaranteed, but usually we can)

~Really the only negative? You have to be with Skiman!

Some of our tracks in 2016. The Stoke is one of the newest resorts in North America, and it is one of the best. You never wait in a line and you are usually skiing in a lot of powder. That certainly is enough to make you Stoked, to be sure.

Air:  Everyone needs to get air into Kelowna, B.C. on January 22, arriving any time as long as it is early enough to catch the last shuttle to the resort. Your return air will be on Jan. 27, any time within the parameters of the shuttle schedule.

Sandman hotel is a recently remodeled property with an outstanding indoor pool and spa area.

Sandman hotel is a recently remodeled property with an outstanding indoor pool and spa area.

Hotel: We are staying at the recently-remodeled Sandman hotel. It is a very nice property with an  indoor pool and spa. It is close to downtown and the ski shuttle bus picks up right in front of the property. Single occupancy upgrade : +219. You can request an upgrade room with a small kitchenette for $49 per person more for the entrire stay. If you are signing up single but would like a room mate, we can try to match you up with someone else requesting a room mate. We cannot guarantee a mate, but we will make every attempt to accommodate this request.

Hotel Upgrade Option: Right next door to our Sandman property, there is a Best Western property. It is newer and the rooms are a bit larger, and it includes a full breakfast. IF you prefer, you can upgrade to this property. The cost is around $239 per person double occupancy, determined at the time of deposit, subject to availability. If you choose to upgrade to this hotel, you must increase your first deposit to $450 per person.

The tree skiing is very good here, especially when the pow has recently fallen.

Transfer to/from Kelowna airport: It is about a 2 hour drive. There are public shuttle buses that run 4 or 5 times a day. We have found a way to save a lot of money on this transport by chartering one of these buses for our group. We can only guarantee this greatly reduced price to the first 14 depositing people whose arrival time meshes with our mid-afternoon charter bus departure. The cost for these 14 folks will be $65 each way. Once this bus is full, we will attempt to procure a second charter bus that will work for the remaining people’s flight times. However, if we cannot get a second charter (the number of buses is very limited) OR if your flight time does not mesh with the proposed second bus, then the cost of this transfer will increase to $79 each way.

Buy trip insurance  Buy trip insurance, especially if you are leaving the country! I never leave the U.S. without it. It not only protects you if you have to cancel before the trip leaves due to an injury or illness, but it also provides great on-trip benefits: trip delays, messed up flights, lost bags, medical treatment and medical evacuation(REMEMBER: your health insurance may not be valid in Canada! Check on that, please)

It also protects your deposited monies, should you have to cancel due to health or illness before the trip leaves. The insurance is not expensive considering the peace of mind it provides. We offer great policies from a reliable company. Example: If you are 55 years old, you can cover this entire trip package price for $72 a person from us. The price varies depending on your age, but it is easy for us to give you a quote. Whether from us or wherever, get a policy and sleep better. Link to our insurance page.

Current PASSPORT required to enter Canada: You must have a passport that is valid and not expiring any time near the dates of this trip. If you don’t have one, you need to get one and it can easily be done in time for this trip.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Criminal records? Canada may be picky about checking every entrants past at their border entry points. Be advised: If you have any DUI convictions in your past or any other felony convictions (no matter how long ago it was) you can be denied entry into Canada and you can be forced to return to the States immediately.  IF YOU FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY, we strongly recommend you contact a Canadian consulate to clear things up and to ascertain that you will be granted entry into Canada. We have had people sent back on several occasions in the past. It is definitely a major drag when this happens. You lose your holiday and all of your money. Don’t let this happen and do as directed above before committing to this trip.

What we need to make this trip happen? 20 minimum for the trip to go at stated price. See table following for price adjustments if trip is less than 20.  There must be at least 15 paying folks for the trip to go.  NOTE: Don’t buy air until we have reached our minimum number of participants for the trip to go, which is 15.  As soon as we have 15 deposited skiers, we will give the go ahead for air to be purchased.

Minimum group size notes: Trip price is based on 20 paying skiers. We do not anticipate the group falling below 20, but in case it does, the surcharges below will apply.

The smallest the group can be is 15.  There is a sliding scale below which lays out the additional cost per person if the group is between 15 and 19.

Final thoughts: This is a GREAT opportunity to ski a place unlike anything you have skied before. It is spectacular for all levels of skiers. The mountain is HUGE and uncrowded. The scenery is spectacular, overlooking the Columbia River. The town rocks and has 35 restaurants. Everything you buy in Canada is 30% off.  This tour’s price is looney!
