When Canada is on snow-wise, it can’t be beat. And when our dollar is CRUSHING theirs and everything is 35% off the list price for us, it is impossible to resist. I wanted to break out and offer an amazing destination in Canada for a good price. It took a lot of poking around , but I scored the goods  at the BEST PURE SKI MOUNTAIN in North America: Revelstoke. Revelstoke is the tallest

Revelstoke is THE powder stash in B.C. They can get epic dumps of pow there. The first year it was opened, Skiman helied there in 6 feet of new snow in 2 days! That is not that unusual for the Stoke as can be seen here.

ski hill on the continent, with almost 6,000 vertical feet of great intermediate and advanced skiing. It is in a snow dumping belt in B.C. and usually gets a ton of snow. The first time Skiman went there was the first year it was open, and it received over 6 feet of snow in 6 days. It was one of the best powder weeks in 50 years of skiing. The Stoke rises above one of the coolest towns in Canada. Skiman has been there three times and can’t wait to get back. The CHEAP Canadian dollar along with the crazy deal he just nailed is beyond belief. Revelstoke is oneof the best resorts in North America, hands down. Read on and get in on the deal.

Some of our tracks in 2016. The Stoke is one of the newest resorts in North America, and it is one of the best. You never wait in a line and you are usually skiing in a lot of powder. That certainly is enough to make you Stoked, to be sure.

AIR:  Everyone needs to get air into Kelowna, B.C. on January 17, arriving any time as long as it is early enough to catch the last shuttle to the resort. Your return air will be on Jan. 22, any time within the parameters of the shuttle schedule.

Sandman hotel is a recently remodeled property with an outstanding indoor pool and spa area.

HOTEL: We are staying at the recently-remodeled Sandman hotel. It is a very nice property with an outstanding indoor pool and spa. It is close to downtown and the ski shuttle bus picks up right in front of the property. SINGLE OCCUPANCY NOTE: You can request single occupancy room for +229. If you are signing up single but would like a room mate, we can try to match you up with someone else requesting a room mate. We cannot guarantee a mate, but we will make every attempt to accommodate this request.

The tree skiing is very good here, especially when the pow has recently fallen.

THE SKIING: 3 out of 4 day pass is included. You can add on another day if you would like. Transportation to the resort from the hotel (about a 15 minute ride) is also INCLUDED. *Package price based on Senior lift pass. Adult pass add $46.

HELI ANYONE? Revelstoke is a heli skiing center. It is possible to do 5-run heli days from near the resort.  Heli is never cheap, but it is currently 35% discounted due to our dollars strength.  If interested we can get you flying!

Dougie feelin good about the tracks he just laid down on a heli day near Revelstoke. We are going to offer a heli day there again this year.

GETTING TO/FROM KELOWNA AIRPORT: Easy. There are four shuttles daily that run to/from for the 2 hour ride. We just need to make sure that your flight meshes with their times, one of the reasons we want to get the air for you. The cost is NOT included in the package price, but it is reasonable, @55 dollars each way. We are in the process of working out a special deal for our group.

BUY TRIP INSURANCE!   Buy trip insurance, especially if you are leaving the country! I never leave the U.S. without it. It not only protects you if you have to cancel before the trip leaves due to an injury or illness, but it also provides great on-trip benefits: trip delays, messed up flights, lost bags, medical treatment and medical evacuation(REMEMBER: your health insurance may not be valid in Canada! Check on that, please)

It also protects your deposited monies, should you have to cancel due to health or illness before the trip leaves. The insurance is not expensive considering the peace of mind it provides. We offer great policies from a reliable company. Example: If you are 55 years old, you can cover this entire trip package price for $72 a person from us. The price varies depending on your age, but it is easy for us to give you a quote. Whether from us or wherever, get a policy and sleep better. Link to our insurance page.

Current PASSPORT required to enter Canada: You must have a passport that is valid and not expiring any time near the dates of this trip. If you don’t have one, you need to get one and it can easily be done in time for this trip.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Criminal records? Canada is very picky about checking every entrants past at their border entry points. Be advised: If you have any DUI convictions in your past or any other felony convictions (no matter how long ago it was) you can be denied entry into Canada and you can be forced to return to the States immediately.  IF YOU FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY, we strongly recommend you contact a Canadian consulate to clear things up and to ascertain that you will be granted entry into Canada. We have had people sent back on several occasions in the past. It is definitely a major drag when this happens. You lose your holiday and all of your money. Don’t let this happen and do as directed above before committing to this trip.

WHAT WE NEED TO MAKE THIS GREAT TRIP HAPPEN? We need 10 minimum with a max of 20.  Everyone is getting their own air.  NOTE: Don’t buy air until we have reached our minimum number of participants for the trip to go, which is 10.  As soon as we have 10 deposited skiers, we will give the go ahead for air to be purchased.

Currency exchange note: There is a slim chance that the exchange rate could change between now and when we final on the trip in early December, but it is improbable. But as with any foreign trip, it could slightly alter the final payment amount. rev 5 Minimum group size: We need 10 to deposit to make the trip a go. We have room for only 20 skiers. If the group is less than 15 lift pass purchasers, the cost of the trip will increase as follows: Adults +39  Seniors +29. We do not anticipate having less than 15 skiers, but in case we do, everyone needs to be aware of this surcharge possibility.

Payment Methods: Check is best. Make out to Morningstar Ski and mail to 21080 Oriole Lane Bend, OR 97703

If you prefer using a credit card, use Paypal as per our site. Caveat/warning: Using Paypal will incur a 3% surcharge fee charged by Paypal. Any amount you want to charge on Paypal will require you to add 3% on top of the amount you are paying Morningstar.

FINAL THOUGHTS: This is a GREAT opportunity to ski a place unlike anything you have skied before. It is spectacular for all levels of skiers. The mountain is HUGE and uncrowded. The scenery is spectacular, overlooking the Columbia River. The town rocks and has 35 restaurants. Everything you buy in Canada is 35% off.  And this tour’s price is looney!
