Every year we do legendary New Year’s tours to undiscovered, off-the-radar-screen, hidden-gem, resorts. We go to good resorts that others do not go to on this busy ski week. Skiman doesn’t do lift lines and neither should you. After much searching and pondering, we have come up with the perfect place that has all the attributes we were seeking: something new, something uncrowded, something that offered big skiing and traditionally good snow. We have found all of the above at Brundage in Idaho.

The travel

Located 2.5 hours north of Boise, right next to the lakeside town of McCall, Brundage gets the best snow in Idaho. It is known for good powder skiing in easy-to-maneuver tree glades. 2k of vertical with thousands of acres of terrain, there is something for every level of skier. It is just hard enough to get to to make it uncrowded, even on holidays... Perfect!

-For experts, Brundage is famous for a fantastic snow cat operation that adds literally thousands of backcountry powder skiing to the already-large ski resort. We are going to offer PRIVATE CAT DAYS just for our group, and the price will be less than half of everywhere else.

-The air is excellent for this trip. We strive to find non-stop air for our holiday tour. Last year for our New Years trip, this was not possible, and the resultant lost and delayed bags was no surprise. We want to avoid this and have thus booked non-stop flights to/from Phoenix and Boise. Our carrier is US Air. We are holding ONLY 35 seats, first come/first served. You can do your own air, but you must mesh your times with ours and you must consult with us before booking anything.

The Hotel

Western Mountain Lodge    

Lodging: Western Mountain Lodge in McCall, Idaho. We got a fantastic group package from a lovely 3 star hotel right near the center of the town of McCall. A few minutes walk is all it takes to get to shopping, food, and drink. BONUS: INCLUDES a full breakfast daily and has an indoor pool and hot tub.

BONUS: Add a bit of luxury to your stay and upgrade to a huge king-bed suite room or one of their 3 jacuzzi-tub-suites.

-The hotel is only 20 minutes to the slopes of Brundage! BONUS: INCLUDED in the cost of the tour is a private charter bus ride to / from the ski resort daily!

Roommate note

Many single people want double occupancy but are signing up solo for the tour. We will attempt to assign you a same-sex room mate who is in the same situation, at your request.While we will do our best to match you with a room mate, it must be understood that anyone signing up as a single is responsible for the single supplement unless a room mate is found. All cancellation charges and other provisions of the booking agreement would still apply.

You may use a credit card for any or all deposits. However, prices are based on cash payment to our wholesalers, so there is a 3% surcharge on any amount you charge.
