Canada is still a great value due to the strength of our dollar against the Canadian currency.  Everything you buy on your trip is one-third off the price tag.  It is no accident we keep going back to Canada year after year.

Banff is one of the most picturesque ski towns in the world.

Lake Louise, a world-class resort, is in the heart of Banff  Park, one of the most scenic places in the West.

Seven years ago, the moon and the mountains at Lake Louise… it truly is a spectacularly beautiful ski resort.

First class all the way… Our five nights will be at the Rundlestone Lodge, a four-star property with all                                    the amenities. CLICK for photo gallery of the Rundlestone.

Banff holds a special place in Skiman’s heart. Around 30 years ago, it was the site of our first international trip. We took 12 folks up there and had an amazing time. Little did we know that it was the first of dozens and dozens of international trips to Europe, New Zealand, South America, and about every other ski resort in Wesstern Canada over the next 30 years. It all started in Banff and it still is a special place to Skiman. We are excited to offer our fourth tour to this Alberta ski gem.

Advantages to joining our group vs. going solo

~Save money

~Meet some fun like-minded folks who love to ski

~If single, save on single occupancy cost if we can get you a room mate (not guaranteed, but usually we can)

~Assurance you will find plenty of people to ski with at your level

~Really the only negative? You have to be with Skiman!

Skiman and Deb skiing Lake Louise 7 years on our last Banff trip. It was kind of a honey moon, as we had just gotten married three weeks prior. It is a special place for us!

The skiing: You will stay in Banff and from there you can choose one of three resorts on your ticket… mix and match. Lake Louise is the biggest and most famous of the three. Situated in the heart of some of the best scenery in Banff National Park, it offers huge terrain for all levels of skier. Sunshine Village is smaller than Lake Louise, but offers a lot of fun terrain, especially for beginners and intermediates. A third accessible resort, Norquay, is also doable on your pass. Skiman has yet to ski there, so I can’t say much about it. We are hoping to finally get to Norquay this year.  The pass included in your package allows you to go to whichever resort you want on whatever day you want. Also included in your package is a free to/from bus ride to any of the resorts. .

The town of Banff: Banff is the gateway to Banff National Park. In the summer this place is packed with people from all over the world who come to marvel at this scenic park. Fortunately, it is less crowded in the winter months.  The town offers amazing scenery right from downtown and countless restaurant and bar options all close by our resort hotel.

Snowy and spectacular! Deb enjoys her first visit to Banff  7 years ago.

The Hotel / 4-Star Rundlestone Resort   Stellar! We found a spectacular property that offered us a great group rate. The Rundlestone is truly a beautiful resort with an indoor pool and hot tub. It is the first stop of the ski bus in the morning and the stop is right in front of our property.  The Rundlestone is a 12 minute walk to the center of Banff. Also, there is a town bus that comes by every half hour to take you in if you don’t want to walk. There are numerous restaurants within a few minutes walk and the property has a beautiful bar and restaurant on site. If you want to step up a bit, there are two-story loft units with fireplaces and kithens for an additional cost of $179 per person for the entire 5 night stay. They are subject to availability. Request at time of depositing.

The Rundlestone Resort is not your “average bear” hotel.

Amazing non-skiing activities around Banff

Perfect for the non-skiers on the trip or for those skiers wanting a rest day off the slopes.

~Visit the spectacular Chateus Lake Louise. This is one of the grandest lodges in the world. It is only 40 minutes from Banff. You can go there for a day off from skiing or you can go there for a lovely 1 hour sleigh ride onto the frozen lake, followed by a dinner. It is a not-to-be missed experience!

~Soak in the Banff Hot Springs, reachable by short public bus ride. Follow up with an upscale dinner at the Rimrock 5-star lodge across the street.

~ Book a dog sled ride around gorgeous Lake Louise. Great adventure in beautiful scenery.

The Air: Fly into Calgary, Canada. It is a major hub and there is air from anywhere into Calgary. You arrange your own air. Do NOT buy air until we have reached minimum trip size threshold. See section below for details.

Transfer to/from Calgary and Banff included: This could not be easier or more convenient. You can land any time you want on February 19, because we are using a shuttle service which has pickups on just about every hour of the day and night. You also have great flexibility on the times of your flight at the end of the tour on February 24th. You just tell us when your flight time is and we do the rest. The shuttle will drop you off right in front of the Rundlestone Lodge. The trip is about 2 hours long.

It is hard to say which is more amazing: the skiing or the scenery.

What is included in our package:

~ 5 nights double occupancy Rundlestone Resort Lodge. Single occupacy add $199  Note: We are happy to try to find you a

Indoor pool at our 4-star hotel for the tour.
